Michael Schrom is known for bringing dimension, texture, and unmistakable crave appeal to virtually any subject placed in front of his lens. A true pioneer of tabletop and food cinematography, Michael has helped shape the visual language of modern QSR and food advertising. Over the course of his esteemed career, he has directed and photographed more than 1,800 broadcast spots for leading global brands. His work has earned numerous industry awards, including recognition with a project featured in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. Michael is equally known for embracing emerging technologies, seamlessly integrating practical filmmaking, visual effects, and innovative visual problem solving to create memorable campaigns filled with stunning product imagery, exquisitely poured fluids, gooey goodness, glistening sauces, and dripping flavors that define his signature Crave Artistry™.

Michael grew up on Bleecker Street in Greenwich Village, surrounded by the artists and creative energy that defined New York City during that era. He attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, earning a BFA in Film before launching his career as both a Director and Cinematographer. An avid cook and passionate supporter of the Hudson Valley food scene, Michael frequently collaborates with local culinary talent. On any given night, chefs gather at his professionally outfitted “Cookbarn” to prepare unforgettable meals. If wood, iron, and fire are involved, Michael is all in.
